Systems Analyst: What They Do

Systems Analysts figure out how to use computers to do certain tasks. They advise businesses and corporations to buy certain computers and software. Another one of their tasks is to tell computer programmers what they need the programs to do. They can work in an office or at home. They usually work in a team because it is a very difficult job.

    Most Analysts have a college degree in computer science or information science. Some take computer classes to get experience. They need to understand math, planning and computers of coarse. Logical thinking is also a good skill to be able to use.

    They need to know what certain software does what, what operating systems are good for certain jobs. They also should know their way around a computer so they know what to suggest to businesses and corporations.

    PROS:

    * The pay for a systems analyst is very good
    * There is also a need for jobs and will be for quite a while
    * You probably won't ever need to buy software and programs you don't need

    CONS:

    * Systems Analyst usually have back, writs, and/or eye problems from constant working
