Disc Jockey

Disc Jockeys also known as “Deejays” play on the radio. They also talk about the news sports and weather. They make commercials, talk with guests, and tell whats going on in the community. Full time Disc Jockeys talk on the radio for five or six days a week for about four hours a time. Disc Jockeys go on the radio without a script which makes it harder to fit music, talk, and commercials on the radio.

  1. Hey abk0706,
Being a Disc Jockey sounds like hard work! Although you have to be good at improv, I think i would like to be one because you only have to work 4 hours a day. My favorite DJ is Santini in the morning.

  2. It's very hard to get a job as a Disc Jockey but the requirements are, some classes would be very useful to take like broadcast journalism, technical school, English, public speaking, and drama. Radio stations like to hire people with good speaking voices, correct grammar, and strong writing skills. Knowing music is also very helpful.

  7. The pros about the job is you make very good money and get to pick your hours. The cons are it's very hard to find a job, because there are very few jobs.

  8. I think a disc jockey would be hard because you have to be good at thinking off of the top of your head. I don't think I would be very good because I'm not very good. How much money do you make? I'm guessing they make quite a bit of money because of all the things that have to do and all of the hours they work.
